Equal Stride Alliance is a Ghana-based NGO committed to promoting disability inclusion, accessible education, and equal opportunity for physically challenged individuals.Creating comprehensive support systems for educational accessibility through infrastructure, technology, advocacy, and direct financial assistance

We remove barriers that limit access to education, mobility, and leadership opportunities.

Accessibility Infrastructure Support Program

We work with schools to build and retrofit facilities with accessibility features including ramps, accessible washrooms, wide doorways, and learning-friendly environments that accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Program Impact:

  • 15 schools retrofitted with accessibility features
  • 500+ students benefiting from improved infrastructure
  • 100% of partner schools meeting basic accessibility standards
 

Community Awareness & Policy Advocacy Initiative

We promote inclusion through community education campaigns and work with policymakers to influence education policies at local and national levels. Our advocacy efforts aim to create systemic change.

Program Impact:

  • 5 major advocacy campaigns conducted
  • Reached 10,000+ community members
  • Contributed to 3 policy reforms at district level
 

Inclusive Teacher Empowerment & Digital Access

Our comprehensive training programs equip teachers with knowledge and skills for inclusive education. We also provide schools with assistive technology tools, screen readers, and adaptive learning devices.

Program Impact:

  • 200+ teachers trained in inclusive education practices
  • 30 schools equipped with assistive technology
  • Ongoing support and professional development programs
 

Dr. Omane Boamah Memorial Scholarship Scheme

Named after the late Dr. Omane Boamah, this scholarship provides full financial support for brilliant but physically challenged students from primary through university education. It covers tuition, assistive devices, and academic materials.

Program Impact:

  • 50+ scholarships awarded
  • 100% graduation rate among scholarship recipients
  • Supporting students from primary to university level
